Here’s what we found

I hope that all of our members were able to have a relaxing festive break, despite the uncertain situation that we all continue to find ourselves in with Covid-19.

I want to start this month’s blog by thanking those members who gave up their time to join our online focus groups during February.

Last month I introduced our member grade review and was delighted to see so much interest. This time I thought it would be good to cover more of the detail of why we're doing it.

This has been a difficult year for everyone, and sometimes it can be difficult to look to the future while plans are still being thrown into such chaos by the Covid-19 pandemic.

I’m delighted to be able to report that the BPS Member Board is now up and running, and met virtually for the first time on 17 July.

As we move towards what will, hopefully, be a brighter 2021 for all of us, it’s a good time to reflect on what we’ve achieved in unprecedented circumstances.

My last two blogs have focused on our member grades review, and I’m pleased to say that we have continued to make progress on this and have now published a set of FAQs for members.

Thanks to the passion and the work of our volunteers and all of our members, we’re far closer to becoming the home for psychology in the UK that we all want the society to be.

Since the beginning of August we’ve been visiting and reaching out to our Member Networks directly in order to talk about the Society Review.

I started writing this blog a couple of months ago to keep our members up-to-date with all of the changes that we’re making to improve their experience of the BPS.
