Arden University has announced a new scholarship programme for 600 prospective psychology students. The £1000 award will give students studying for a BSc in Psychology or Psychology with Counselling a £950 tuition fee discount and a £50 donation to the mental health charity Mind.
The scholarship is open to students starting their studies this year, and if all are successfully awarded the total donation to Mind will be £30,000. Head of the School of Psychology and Social Sciences at Arden University, Gail Steptoe-Warren, said the scholarship would open access to students hoping to study psychology. 'Psychology is a highly rewarding sector to work in, with graduates from our programmes going on to work in a wide range of vitally important roles all over the world. The Psychology Scholarship will support individuals who are passionate about pursuing a career in such a rewarding sector with the cost of their tuition fees, opening access to careers in this field while also raising funds for a very worthy cause.'
