Psychology of Sexualities Section AGM: Call for committee positions

The Annual General Meeting of Psychology of Sexualities Section will be held on Friday 22 September 2023 from 12:00 to 13:00 on Zoom.

Call for Committee positions

There are a number of vacant positions on the Committee for which Members can nominate themselves.

• Chair (3 years)
• Honorary Secretary (3 years)
• Honorary Treasurer (3 years)
• Committee Members x 4 (3 years)

All nominees must be Full Members of the Psychology of Sexualities Section with voting rights.

In addition, the following roles are open to any members of the Psychology of Sexualities Section with voting rights.

• Committee Members x 2 (3 years)

Call for Resolution items for discussion at the AGM

Members by the Psychology of Sexualities Section can submit their resolution proposals for the AGM.

Resolution items must fall within the Objects of the Society for it to be discussed at the AGM. 

The item will be considered by the Society or the Psychology of Sexualities Section Committee. If the resolution item has been acted on by the society or Psychology of Sexualities Section Committee before the AGM, then it may be agreed with the member that the item will be removed from the AGM agenda.

If a resolution item is included on the AGM agenda, the member may be requested to talk on the matter at the AGM. The following discussion will be minuted and if necessary, a virtual ballot will be arranged after the AGM to enable the voting Psychology of Sexualities Section membership to vote on the resolution item.

Please note that only items that are included on the AGM agenda may be discussed; there is no 'any other business' at this type of General Meeting.

Only Members with voting rights are able to raise resolution items.
