Grants on offer to honour the work of a distinguished psychologist
Grants are available for BPS members to support their attendance at a one-off event celebrating the work of Professor Dorothy Bishop in June.
10 March 2022
Professor Bishop is considered one of the most distinguished psychologists of her generation, having pioneered the investigation of impairments in the development of language. In honour of her forthcoming retirement, a group of colleagues have arranged a Festschrift (a collection of writings presented as a tribute to a respected person), at The Royal Society (27-28 June 2022), to celebrate her contribution to psychological research.
The society's Research Board is offering a grant of up to £200 to BPS members, (UK early career researchers or postgraduates), to attend and present their research. Each grant consists of up to £200 to contribute towards the costs of registration, travel and to attend the full conference.
The Festschrift will showcase research inspired by Professor Bishop's contributions. There are two major themes: language development and disorder, from neurobiology through to intervention, and reproducibility and open science.
The deadline for applications is Thursday 31 March 2022.
