BPS seeking proposals for ‘Foundations and Futures of Psychology: Global Perspectives’, a new research-based book series
Volumes will be edited by a senior researcher and a junior editor, offering a mentoring platform for early career researchers.
19 June 2024
They will publish a mix of classic and cutting-edge issues, broader areas or spotlight hot topics in the field.
Each title will focus on a key topic, reviewing where the field has been, and providing discursive debate on the latest research and practice. This insight will encourage critical understanding of – and reflection on – the events that shape contemporary approaches and future directions in psychology. Volumes will focus on an international range of perspectives.
'Foundations and Futures' is aimed at researchers, advanced undergraduate and post-graduate students, as well as professionals with a keen interest in the latest thinking on issues that inform their practice.
Edited volumes play a vital role in today's research landscape. In publishing a range of perspectives, they reflect the latest research and thinking, and enable a comprehensive yet diverse study of a single topic.
Often addressing a new area of research or bringing diverging fields together in the form of a synthesis, a coherent collection of chapters can help to deepen knowledge and deliver a broader understanding.
If you are interested in acting as lead editor and wish to propose an idea for a volume, you can find out more on the Routledge website or by getting in touch with the team.
