The BPS needs your views on new guidance for Assistant Psychologists

Our Practice Team is looking for input and feedback on the newly developed guidance on the Expected Standards for the Recruitment and Employment of Assistant Psychologists.

15 August 2023

The guidance, written by expert and assistant psychologists, aims to assist anyone employing or considering employing assistant psychologists by providing practical information. It covers areas such as appropriate responsibilities, tasks, development, supervision, job planning, workload management and more.

Our hope is to ensure that organisations and individuals create a supportive and effective work environment where their assistant psychologists can thrive. We believe that with your feedback we can create a valuable resource that benefits both employers and assistant psychologists alike.

The consultation period ends on 12 September. You can find out more, read the guidance and submit your comments by following the link below.
