BPS members awarded New Year Honours

Two inspiring members of the British Psychological Society (BPS) have been recognised in the 2022 New Year Honours list for their services to Britain.

06 January 2022

Dr Beth Mosley, a consultant clinical psychologist at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, has been awarded an MBE (Member of the British Empire) for her innovative work in mental health services for young people.

Dr Mosely was one of the first clinical psychologists appointed full-time to support students' mental health and wellbeing in Thurston College in Suffolk.

Her work was acknowledged as best practice and led to lots more mental health workers supporting children and young people in schools across Suffolk.

Margaret Po Ling Bailey, an occupational psychologist with RAF Recruitment and Selection, also received an MBE for her services to aircrew assessment and aptitude testing.

Sarb Bajwa, chief executive of the BPS said:

"Congratulations to both on receiving their awards. It's fantastic to see our members recognised for the important work they do."
