BPS Journals’ Landmark Issue brings sustainability to the fore
The 2024 BPS Landmark Issue is a collaborative effort that sees each BPS Journal commission a landmark contribution on a topic of importance to the whole discipline.
24 October 2024
The BPS Journals each select or commission one paper to comprise a very special, collaborative multi-journal themed issue, known as the BPS Landmark Issue. It's an opportunity for our journals to celebrate a theme of international importance from respective areas of psychology.
This year, the BPS Editorial Advisory Group chose the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals as its theme.
Katherine Berry, Chair of the BPS Editorial Advisory Group, said:
"As psychologists, we have a lot to say about behaviour change and need to use our science to inform strategies to promote public commitment to the goals both in the UK and more globally. We hope that the papers within the collection today provide insights […] about how we as psychologists might use our knowledge and spheres of influence to make a difference to the future of our planet and all those who inhabit it. I encourage you to take the opportunity to step outside your immediate area of interest and read the whole series of papers."
With published papers from all 11 BPS journals, topics included cover climate change and wellbeing, inclusive education, coach-coachee fit and resource scarcity.
Thanks to our editors for their continued passion and engagement in compiling the annual Landmark Issue, and to our authors and reviewers for their valuable contributions in enabling such high-quality work to reach publication.
We hope you will enjoy reading the 2024 Landmark Issue.
