BPS interim response to draft government guidance for schools for gender questioning children
We will be writing to its members in the New Year to gather their views on the guidance.

There is no doubt that guidance for schools is urgently needed. It is important that any guidance produced is nuanced, evidence-based and has an emphasis on how schools can support the mental health and wellbeing of gender questioning children and create a safe and inclusive environment.
While we do have some concerns about the guidance as currently drafted, we will be engaging with our members so that we can respond fully to the consultation in due course.
