Successful applicants will work alongside experienced BRC supporters providing psychosocial support to people affected by crisis or disasters in the UK.

The role is perfect for trained clinical and counselling psychologists who wish to help in an emergency but do not wish to commit to regular volunteering.

Sarb Bajwa, BPS chief executive officer, said:

"I'm proud that the BPS is the first organisation to partner with the British Red Cross to develop Psychosocial Reserve Volunteers (PRVs).

By working together we are giving clinical and counselling psychologists the opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge in a variety of emergency responses. and, more importantly, providing much needed care for those in distress."

If you would like to be considered as a PRV please read the role profile and complete the on-line questionnaire, including the informed consent section at the end which must be signed.
