BPS Book Award nominees announced

Five fascinating books have been shortlisted for the 2021 British Psychological Society Book Award.

Each year members of the BPS Research Board and Practice Board decide on the books they believe have demonstrated excellence in the field of psychology. 

This year five titles have been selected in four categories. The nominations are:

  • An Introduction to Mathematical Cognition by Camilla Gilmore, Silke Goebel and Matthew Inglis
  • From Talent Management to Talent Liberation: A Practical Guide for Professionals, Managers and Leaders by Maggi Evans
  • When It Is Darkest: Why People Die by Suicide and What We Can Do to Prevent It by Rory O'Connor
  • The Brink of Being: Talking About Miscarriage by Julia Bueno
  • Postfeminism and Health: Critical Psychology and Media Perspectives by Sarah Riley, Adrienne Evans and Martine Robson

The winners will be announced in November.
