Applications open for the Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme 2025
We’re pleased to announce that the BPS Postgraduate Study Visit Scheme is now open for applications.

The scheme provides funding for UK-based psychology postgraduate students to carry out a research study visit in the UK, Europe and internationally.
Anyone applying to the Scheme must be a member of the British Psychological Society and be currently registered at a UK University for a doctoral degree in psychology e.g. a DClinPsy or a PhD. You can apply for funding to cover a visit of up to six weeks and the maximum you can apply for is:
- Up to £500 to visit an institution in the UK
- Up to £800 to visit an institution in Europe
- Up to £1,200 to visit an institution elsewhere in the world
The scheme is a fantastic opportunity to further a piece of research, while visiting a prestigious institution. Previous recipients of the scheme have used the funding to cover:
- A research project in Brazil to study mental health literacy
- An early career researcher's visit to the Université Grenoble Alpes
- Visiting the University of Oslo to further a PhD study in the field of auditory verbal hallucinations
