    Psychological testing: A test user’s guide

    This guide is available for people who wish to understand what the testing process will be.

    The guide provides general information about preparing for a test, information for people with disabilities, what happens during and after a test session and what psychological tests measure. 

    This guide is designed to answer seven questions in two main areas.

    Questions about tests:

    2. What should I look for in a psychological test?
    3. Where can I find out more about particular tests and test suppliers?

    Questions about test use:

    1. What knowledge and skills do I need to qualify as competent in the use of psychological tests?
    2. How do I obtain a BPS Qualification in Test Use?
    3. How do I maintain my competence and keep up-to-date on matters relating to psychological testing?
    4. How do I ensure that I follow good practice?
