This Briefing Paper is one of a series offering advice to commissioners of clinical psychology services in Sexual Health and HIV. It outlines the extent of need for services, the core services required and recommended staffing levels for clinical psychologists involved in the management and provision of sexual dysfunction services. The paper also describes standards upon which such services can be based, how these can be monitored, as well as suggesting a range of appropriate outcome measures. This includes teaching and consultation with those involved in assessing and treating sexual problems.
