The British Psychology Society North West Branch is delighted to bring our third network event with the University of Chester on 27 September 2024. 

This event will allow space for networking with other BPS members in Chester and surrounding area. 

The theme of the event is wellbeing and thriving in which 3 practitioners in this space will share some research, insights and tips to help you plan your goals for your own wellbeing.

Programme

Dr Clare Mulligan-Foster will discuss how to craft both your work and life to achieve a stronger worklife balance to meet you goals and work towards happiness and life satisfaction. 

Helle Hammonds will discuss how resilience and mental strength are learned, buildable skills that we can all improve. By developing these skills, we become more prepared to weather the storms of life and lead a well, happy, and successful professional and personal life.

About our speakers

Dr Clare Mulligan-Foster

Clare is the co-chair of the BPS Northwest Branch. Dr Clare Mulligan-Foster is a BPS Chartered and HCPC Registered Occupational Psychologist, Chartered Coaching Psychologist, and practitioner in the area of organisational behaviour.

She has her own practice based in Chester offering coaching and consultation. She is also co Programme Director for part 1 of the Professional Doctorate in Occupational Psychology at Birkbeck University, London.

Helle Hammond

Helle is an Organisational Well-being Practitioner who specialises in evidence-based training, workshops, and coaching. With over 15 years in health and wellness, she brings a unique perspective to workplace well-being and personal transformation.

Helle's mission is to empower individuals and organisations by creating thriving working environments through effective stress management and burnout prevention strategies. Drawing from her extensive experience in wellness and as an entrepreneur, she understands the fine line between success and personal sacrifice, offering profound insights into burnout and resilience.

Helle holds a Master's degree accredited by the British Psychological Society and a coaching qualification from the Association for Coaching. She translates her experience and research on burnout into actionable strategies for workplace wellness.
