Trauma and Justice. An interdisciplinary approach
- Crisis, disaster and trauma
About
Addressing the long-term impact of many traumatic events is not possible without accounting for the additional distress generated by lack of justice, redress for the harm, support and recognition in the aftermath.
This day conference will include 8 presentations bringing the latest evidence and knowledge on the relationship between trauma recovery and justice, redress, access to formal and informal support and recognition in the aftermath.
The conference will be held at:
Newton Building (LT8)
10 Goldsmith St
Nottingham
NG1 4BU
The presentations will focus on evidence from different context such as gender based violence, immigration detention, traumatic injuries, climate threat, war and dictatorship.
The conference will also include the screening of a film documentary on trauma and justice depicting the stories of war survivors as they search for the fate of their missing family members.
