Webinar

If you have had safeguarding training in the past and are looking for a refresher, this webinar could be for you. It is not a formal "Levelled" training (e.g. Level 3) but an opportunity to take time as psychologists to recap and refresh our knowledge on the legislation, core principles and best practice issues surrounding adult safeguarding and child protection, and what we can learn from inquiries and serious case reviews.

Target Audience

Although open to everyone, it is not suitable for anyone completely new to safeguarding, as a basic level of knowledge and experience is assumed.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this two-hour webinar, participants will:

  • Have refreshed your knowledge on the principles, statute and best practice relating to safeguarding practice (in both adults and children).
  • Be better equipped to ensure best practice as we engage with the dilemmas and grey areas.
  • Be aware of the available learning from serious case reviews and public inquiries.
  • Be encouraged and equipped to reflect on our own practice.

Presenter: Dr Rebekah Eglinton
