Real-time data capture in health psychology: applications in research and practice
- Health
About
Advanced technologies allow anyone with a smartphone to collect increasingly sophisticated data about themselves, whether for research, self-management, and/or personal interest. This session will introduce and provide space to discuss different approaches including experience sampling, N-of-1, wearable sensors, and a mixed methods approach that triangulates real-time data capture with data-prompted qualitative interviewing. This session will assume no prior knowledge of these methods.
Who is this event for?
This session is for everyone interested in real time data capture in health psychology. BPS members are eligible for reduced registration rates, but you do not have to be a BPS member or member of the DHP Scotland Branch to attend.
