Louise Wallace (Lecturer in Forensic Psychology; University of Derby) will provide fascinating insights into the psychology of cannibalism, drawing on examples from Jeffrey Dahmer, a case recently highlighted in the Netflix drama series "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story".
Louise Wallace is a PhD Candidate and Lecturer in Forensic Psychology who teaches on a wide range of modules on the programme and is currently the module leader for Introduction to Biological and Social Forensic Psychology and Victimology for Forensic Psychologists.
Her main areas of expertise are psychopathy and its adaptive and evolutionary benefits, intimate partner violence (IPV), and scale development.
Louise has published several peer-reviewed articles and is also involved in several external organisations such as the Affect, Personality, and Embodied Brain research network, the British Society for the Psychology of Individual Differences (BSPID), as well as her role as chair of the European branch of Aftermath: Surviving Psychopathy.
