Positive affect - how positivity can 'broaden and build' performance
- Health and wellbeing

This webinar will offer practical tools to boost happiness – through appreciating it's complexity – it's not as simple as "put a pencil between your teeth and trick your brain into smiling"…although that works too. These can be applied in the workplace to improve employee satisfaction, they can be used with clients and families, they can be applied personally for your own growth.
Target Audience
This webinar is suitable for anyone whether you are in the early stage of your career, as well as those working with organisations/in HR. The webinar will be useful for practitioners who themselves use practical tools and exercises with clients, and could be particularly useful for coaches, psychology graduates, those interested or working in wellbeing.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this two-hour webinar / workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify the key concepts of positive psychology's "Science of Happiness" along with the WHO's definition of "Wellbeing".
- Use the practice tools to help build positive emotion to contribute to positive affect.
- Recognise the complexity of happiness and how engaging with our values in actions/strengths can help us both practically and emotionally to build our sense of wellbeing.
- Create a personal wellbeing plan.
Material
A workbook will be available before the webinar.
