Welcome to the Male Psychology Section Annual Conference 2024
This one-day event, will invite both keynote speakers and presenters to examine the experiences of some of the most vulnerable men and boys in society, and will promote collaboration between psychologists working in these fields.

We hope that with the conference taking place shortly after International Men's Day itself, that we will be able to use the occasion to highlight 'seldom heard' voices, and to shine a spotlight on these under-researched areas.

Themes & Aims
For this year's conference, our overarching theme is Vulnerable Men and Boys.
We therefore invite presentations on topics including but not limited to:
- Men in prison and probation
- Boys in the care system
- Male victims of domestic and sexual violence
- Male victims of homicide and other violent crime
- Male homelessness
- Male mental health and suicide
- Men and family breakdown
- Fatherhood and pre/postnatal loss
You are invited to share your experiences and knowledge on these topics from all areas of
applied psychology and to submit abstracts addressing this theme through:
- Research
- Professional practice
- Theory/opinion papers
The deadline for abstract submissions is 13 September 2024.

Submission dates
Authors are strongly advised to register on the on-line submission system and begin preparing their submissions well in advance of the following deadlines.
- 29 July: On-line submissions system opens
- 23 September: Extended deadline for submissions
- 07 October: Notification of outcome for all submissions
- 11 November: Deadline for Conference Registration
If you wish to submit more than one abstract, please complete individual submissions for each.

Registration fees
The registration fee includes daily lunches, refreshments and access to all content.
All rates listed are inclusive of VAT at 20%, and exclusive of service charge.
