Themes and aims
The theme for this year is - Better connections: fostering inclusion, support and cohesion in Clinical Psychology Training.
For this year's conference, the theme will reflect issues we face in the field, including those posed by the very substantial increases in cohort sizes and how this has impacted on the atmosphere and dynamics of trainees and staff.
The theme will emphasise sharing of good practice in fostering connection between trainees in the context of efforts to improve inclusion and equity across the range of minioritised identities.
The way changes in the profession have impacted on the way trainers seek to support inclusion and equity in, creating a supportive environment and a sense of cohesion whilst meeting the requirements of accrediting bodies and stakeholders will be highlighted.
Ultimately, fostering better connections can lead to a more positive and productive training environment that prepares future clinical psychologists to thrive in their post-qualification careers.
We will be focusing on specific themes:
- Academic
- Clinical
- Research
- Support, communication and cohesion
- Admin
Cross cutting themes:
- PPI and EbE
- EDI
