Online workshop

As organisations grow an individual's supervision pool increases, supervisors are moving towards a combination of individual as well as group supervision.  Thus it is important to understand what group supervision is and the importance to contract as a group so that boundaries are set and expectations met. 

This session will be an interactive session so that techniques can be developed to aid your practice within group supervision sessions. 

Intended audience 

This workshop is for both established / experienced supervisors and those new to providing supervision to others.

Learning outcomes

By the end of this three-hour workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand and explain what is meant by group supervision.
  • Understand contracting for group supervision.
  • Understand and be equipped to practice techniques used in group supervision.
  • Understand the main benefits and challenges of group supervision.

Presenter: Dr Gail Steptoe-Warren

Dr Gail Steptoe-Warren is the Head of School for Psychology and is a registered Occupational Psychologist with the Health Care Professions Council.   Gail is the Head of Supervision for the qualification in occupational psychology and was the Chair for the Supervisor Training Working Group that developed the Supervision Training course. 

This workshop will be delivered on Zoom via BPS Learn. The link will be available on BPS Learn 24hr before, instructions will be sent out to all participants.
