About the event

Join Dr Fiona Day (Co-lead for DOCP Committee) and guest speaker Rachel Scudamore (Head of Quality Assurance and Standards, BPS) for this interactive session where we will discuss expectations from the BPS and DOCP regarding good practice for your own CPD.

Rachel will showcase the society's 'MyCPD' recording system so that you feel confident to use it to record your CPD going forwards, in line with BPS expectations. We will also spend some time exploring our own learning and development needs for 2025/26 in order to inform our own overarching Professional Development Plans (PDPs) for the next 12 months. This session will not be recorded. Participants will be expected to have their 'cameras on' and to participate in the event.

Learning Outcomes

Participants will:

  • Understand the expectations of BPS and DOCP for aspiring and registered Coaching Psychologists regarding CPD
  • Understand the formal and informal learning activities that can constitute CPD and the range of activities required
  • Understand how to record their PDP and CPD using the BPS 'my CPD recording system'
  • Able to identify their own professional development needs and create a PDP for 2025/26
