The British Psychology Society North West Branch is delighted to bring our second network event with the University of Chester on 05 July 2024.

This event is running in conjunction with the Chester Festival of ideas and  will allow space for networking with other BPS members in Chester and surrounding area.

The theme of the event is - The design and use of collective intelligence and purposeful networks – or why decision by committee could be much more effective.

The event will take place at:

  • 116 Best Building
    University of Chester
    Exton Park
    CH1 4AQ

Ever thought your group of friends could solve 'world peace', if only you had the resources and authority to get on with it. If you do, this seminar and discussion is for you!

This intriguing event is about working in groups, sometimes online groups, to solve complex problems.

How much benefit is there from diverse opinions and experiences? How do you harness the collective intellectual horsepower from people who irritate you?

We'll look at what psychology and the theory of networks and relationships can contribute to solving world sized problems. Be prepared to get involved in discussions and 'committee' meetings.
