We are delighted to announce that Dr Hannah Dale (NHS National Services Scotland, NHS NSS, BSc, MSc, PhD, PFPH) will be joining us at our online networking event to discuss applying for posts within the NHS post-MSc/doctoral-level training.
This will include how to map transferrable skills from your qualification (MSc, PhD, NES & Professional Doctorate) on to the person specification in the essential criteria in the job description, including for stage 2 Health Psychology NHS Education for Scotland posts, and qualified health psychology posts. Please join us for this event on Tuesday 3rd October from 12.30 – 1.30pm.
Hannah is a practitioner Health Psychologist at NHS Tayside within the Public Health Department, who is currently working on the diabetes framework particularly in relation to diabetes remission. She is also Programme Director of Health Improvement for NHS Education for Scotland (NES) within the Psychology Directorate.
Hannah has extensive experience of working with both adults and children in various services and settings including the integrated drug and alcohol recovery service, the adult hepatitis service, and the paediatric psychology service.
She has also previously worked in behavioural health services in two GP practices within integrated primary care and has led on many developments for the training programme for Trainee Health Psychologists at NES, whilst also providing supervision.
In 2008 she commenced her PhD at the University of St Andrews under the supervision of Professor Gerry Humphris and Dr Gozde Ozakinci, focussing on the psychosocial issues and health behaviours in men with cancer, along with the factors that impact on men accessing support for these issues.
