A wonderful opportunity for DCP members to meet together at the BPS London Office with other clinical psychologists, to discuss professional developments with our speakers Dr Roman Raczka, BPS President, Dr Ryan Kemp,   Director of Therapies, Central & North West London, Dr Adrian Whittington, National Clinical Lead for the Psychological Professions at NHS England and others, to see poster presentations from the pre-qualification group, and to network with colleagues across the London and South East areas. 

 

The formal event starts at 12 noon with poster presentations and judging by BPS President, networking lunch at 12.30, speakers and discussion at 2pm, informal social gathering at the Windmill opposite from 5.30 open to all. Attendees are welcome to come to the London Office from 9am onwards to work, meet and network.

Pre-qualification group

Event details:

The first part of the networking event will involve poster presentations from those who are pre-qualified. This will take place from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

You do not need to be a current DCP member to partake in this.

This a chance to celebrate your dedication to science as a budding clinical psychologist.

 

Award:

Posters will be judged by the BPS President and the Chair for the London and South East England Branch. The winner will be formally recognised with a framed certificate. You will also receive a free ticket for the entire day, which will be chance to hear from leading figures.

 

Submission guidelines:

A structured abstract of up to 300 words inclusive of a title, introduction, method, results and conclusion section.

Abstracts should be on something you are currently working on in your job. Any topic is welcome, as long as it bears direct relevance to clinical psychology. This includes: 

·       Research 

·       Clinical audit

·       Service evaluation 

·       Quality improvement projects

At this point, we will review abstracts and will endeavour to get back to you as quickly as possible to inform you if you have been selected to present. 

We intend to inform all applicants by Thursday, March 27th at the latest.

Whilst we can provide poster stands, presenters will need to print their own posters on A0 paper for presentation.
