Research indicates that a significant proportion of people experiencing an eating disorder may be Neurodivergent or have Neurodivergent traits. We are excited to be drawing a range of expertise in a one day online CPD event looking at adaptations clinicians can make to treatment approaches when working with Neurodivergent populations who have an eating disorder. The day will be led by Catherine Perry who is a Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who works for South London and Maudsley NHS Eating Disorder Service. She also works in private practice and specialises as a neurodivergent therapist herself in offering neuro-inclusive eating disorder recovery & body image therapy. We also will be joined by Alison Bent who is the Lead Specialist Dietician and Autism Champion working in Sheffield NHS Community Eating Disorders Services and has a wealth of experience working with Anorexia and ARFID presentations in those with Autism. Both speakers will be drawing on input from those with lived experience in their presentations.
