Scope
The journal's remit is the history and philosophy of psychology. Papers that relate history and philosophy will be particularly welcomed, as will those on the history of British psychology.
The journal's policy will also be to consider papers from all theoretical perspectives, not just currently fashionable ones. It does not publish material that is discriminatory or libellous, either in content or manner of presentation.
Instructions to authors
Articles are invited for the refereed section (normally maximum length 5,000 words): one electronic and four hard copies, including an abstract (max 150 words), appropriately anonymised for blind review with the author's name, affiliation (if any), contact and email addresses on a cover page.
All articles should be submitted to the editor at [email protected].
Typescripts should not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere, and should be double-spaced, paginated, and formatted according to the BPS style guide.
Contributions for the non-refereed section, including abbreviated versions of papers presented at the Section's conferences (normally max 3,000 words in length, including abstract), and contributions to the newsletter section, including letters, notices of forthcoming events etc. should also be submitted to the editor at [email protected].
Papers should be double-spaced, paginated, and formatted according to the BPS style guide.
Book reviews should be sent to the Book Review Editor at [email protected].
